For our organization to have the impact it aims towards, your activity, as Communications Specialist, will have a great contribution in generating awareness about the real issues impacting the access to a proper education of Romania’s most vulnerable children.You will be charged with communicating specifi c projects of the organization (e.g. access to quality education of Rroma children, mentoring for novice teachers).

Reports to: Fundraising and Communication Director.Role-type: Full-time, based in București. The position will require occasional travel (in Teach for Romania communities).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:•Develops detailed communication strategies and communication plans for both projects;•Designs communication activities in accordance with the dedicated budget;•Content creation & management of relevant communication channels (in the context of several specific projects – e.g. access to quality education of Rroma children, mentoring for novice teacher). Identifies relevant content and relevant stories in the context of the activities of the projects, populates the organization’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) with relevant content, creates and caters content for dedicated landing pages/other communication channels as appropriate;•Identifies high-potential communication partners (relevant publications, public persons, festivals, public events) and brokers adequate communication partnerships (that amply the voice of the organization and carry the messages of the two projects to a diversified audience). •Works with third parties (such as external service providers) to implement the communication plan – writes briefs, offers feedback and clarifications, etc. For example, the communication specialist will coordinate the collaboration communication agencies, when needed, for larger campaigns, will identify relevant service providers for specific communication products (photographers, illustrators, videographers, etc) and manage the collaboration with them.

Experience required for this role:
Communication/Marketing – minim 2 years. It would be a plus:
Experience with media relations;
SEO knowledge;
Design skills (including basic tools such as Canva/Lumen5/other online design tools);
Knowledge of the Educational field.;
