United Way Romania (UWRo) aims to improve the quality of life of all persons living or working in Romania by encouraging individual and corporate giving, and volunteerism. UWRo works with companies to involve them corporate social responsibility activities, and with individuals to involve them in philanthropy and volunteerism. The beneficiaries of these activities are non-governmental organizations offering services to disadvantaged groups, such as elderly, underprivileged children, disabled or ill persons, victims of abuse, etc. In support of these activities,

UWRo is looking to select a qualified individual for the position of Community Impact Manager in Bucharest. This person will have a deep understanding of the community and strong relationships with relevant NGOs, local authorities, public institutions or other stakeholders. S/He will be responsible for creating and developing community programs with high impact; for identifiying and creating opportunities for partnerships with other NGOs and authorities; for initiating and conducting advocacy campaigns; for maintaing the relationship with relevant NGOs and federations in which UWRo is a member. The ideal candidate is a person committed to serve and positively impact the community were s/he lives and will have an excellent knowledge of the Romanian non-governmental sector, and more specifically of the social sector as well as a deep undestanding of social services.

Requirements: a minimum of relevant Bachelor’s degree complemented by a relevant experience of minimum 8 years, in the coordination of community programs, project management, grants writing & reporting, advocacy, training; strong communication and interpersonal skills; strong Romanian and English proficiency; and relevant computer skills.
