The UiPath Foundation is on a global mission to nurture the tremendous potential of children coming from underprivileged families. Since January 2019, UiPath Foundation has reached through its educational programs more than 25,000 children from Romania and India.

The UiPath Foundation team works in a blended mode, from home and from the office. Our activity also involves travelling to communities where we have our intervention.

About the position:
The Programs Officer (PO) is an organized, solution-focused, communicative, tech-savvy person who will work closely with the management team of the UiPath Foundation for the efficient implementation of the core educational programs of the organization. The person must be based in Bucharest when the contract starts.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the PO as part of the UiPath Foundation’s Programs team:
- Supports the Programs team in the implementation process of the Foundation’s core educational interventions, including a wide range of logistics-related tasks;
- Supports the Programs team in coordinating with the local staff, strategic partners and service providers;
- Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the UiPath Foundation educational program has shifted to online activities, providing tablets connected to the internet for the children in our programs; the PO will assist children with the technical difficulties that they might encounter and will coordinate with the IT department to find the best solutions;
- Drafts reports about the progress of the participants in the Foundation’s programs, based on data collected from the strategic partners;
- Travels to communities in Romania.

The Programs Officer is part of the internal team encharged with the implementation and monitoring of the Child Safeguarding Policy, therefore she/he:
- Supports the Child Safeguarding Team with handling the related paperwork;
- Monitors the implementation of the Child Safeguarding Policy and compliance with its standards across all programs of the Foundation.

Other responsibilities of the PO within the larger UiPath Foundation team:
- Offers assistance to the Financial Manager in terms of office management, as well as travel and accommodation for various activities involving UiPath Foundation team, partners, volunteers and board;
- Offers support to the entire team in preparing meetings and monitoring visits;
- Supports the Communications team in building accurate and child safeguarding compliant communication materials for the Foundation’s programs.

Job requirements:
- Prior experience in working with children is a must;
- Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Management or other relevant academic background; graduate-level degree or equivalent (preferred);
- Minimum 2 years of work experience, ideally involving project management;
- Prior experience in an NGO is an advantage;
- Understanding of Children’s rights and child protection and safeguarding related issues;
- Database management know-how is an advantage;
- Excellent command of Romanian & English;
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
- Willingness to travel extensively, in Romania and abroad;
- Team worker;
- Empathy and compassion.
